About us


David Rentz, founder and director of Guildsingers, has graduate degrees in choral conducting from Yale University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  He is also a co-director of C4: the Choral Composer/Conductor Collective and the choral director at the Brearley School
Guildsingers, an early music consort of voices, was founded in 2005, and has since offered well-received performances at Columbia University and the 2007 New York Early Music Celebration, as well as the Swedish Church of New York. The group has been featured on the nationally-syndicated radio program Millennium of Music, as well as WKCR's Early Music Show, and is now a cornerstone of the Music at Holy Trinity subscription concert series. Guildsingers has been praised by concert-goers for both its virtuosic musicianship and its lively and innovative programming.
